Overview

Namibia 30 Index (NAX30) is a blockchain-native benchmark token designed to digitally reflect the performance of 30 selected securities listed on the Namibia Securities Exchange (NSX).

What NAX30 is

Modeled after leading global benchmarks such as the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA), NAX30 is structured as a modified weighted index. Constituent weights are determined by a defined, rules-based methodology designed to prevent excessive concentration in any single component while preserving representative market exposure.

What NAX30 is not

NAX30 does not represent ownership in underlying securities and does not confer shareholder rights. It does not constitute equity, debt, units in a collective investment scheme, or a security unless determined otherwise by applicable regulatory authorities.

Economic Indicator

In the United States, benchmarks such as the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) and the S&P 500 are widely monitored indicators of broad market and economic conditions. Similarly, NAX30 is structured to operate as a consolidated benchmark reference for Namibia’s equity market.

Benchmark Role

NAX30 functions as a composite market benchmark. Upward movement reflects broad-based strengthening performance across its weighted constituents and improving aggregate market sentiment, while downward movement indicates weakening performance and reduced investor confidence within the underlying basket.

Market Direction

As such, NAX30 may serve as a directional indicator of trends within Namibia’s listed equity market and, by extension, Namibia’s broader economic conditions.

Digital Infrastructure

Built as a BEP-20 token, NAX30 provides a transparent, auditable, and programmable digital benchmark for investors, analysts, and market participants seeking structured exposure to Namibia’s leading listed securities.

About NAX30

From DAX to DJIA to Nikkei to NAX30 — Namibia’s Entry into Global Benchmark Infrastructure.

The DAX Index, Germany’s most recognized stock exchange barometer for over 35 years, measures the performance of the 40 largest companies listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (FSE). The United States relies on the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA), while Japan tracks the Nikkei 225 and the United Kingdom follows the FTSE 100.

Each major economy relies on a benchmark index that functions as a consolidated signal of market direction and broader economic sentiment. In Namibia, NAX30 represents a milestone in capital markets development.

Launched by Simon Kapenda in February 2026, the Namibia 30 Index (NAX30) is a flagship digital benchmark initiative of Abba Payments Namibia (Pty) Ltd. (Co.Reg.No.: 2023/0770), headquartered in Oshakati, Namibia, and forms part of the broader Abba Industries group.
